This Is Where Our Story Continues
Rooted at Home Lil’ Makers: The Next Chapter of Rooted at Home
Rooted at Home Lil’ Makers began with a simple wish: to bring families together through the joy of making something with their own hands.
I’m Jessica, a mother and the heart behind Rooted at Home. My love for family inspired the original idea: sharing things grown, gathered, and made with care. As that idea grew, so did my vision for a place where children and their grown-ups could create, play, and feel part of a community.
As a mom, I treasure the little moments, the pride in a child’s face when they show you what they made, the stories they tell while painting, and the unexpected discoveries that happen when you give them room to explore. Those moments are at the heart of Lil’ Makers.
Our vision is a welcoming art and play space where children can choose their colors, follow their curiosity, and make something that feels entirely their own. From painting plaster figurines and hands-on crafts to sensory exploration and imaginative play, we want creativity to feel approachable and full of possibility.
Creativity belongs to every generation. Young adults and senior citizens are always welcome, and we plan to offer dedicated senior hours, special events, and creative sessions for young adults, too. Activities such as felting and more intricate craft projects will offer opportunities to learn new skills, take on a challenge, and connect with others.
Grown-ups belong here, too. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers stay, connect, and share the experience. We hope you’ll pick up a paintbrush, enjoy a conversation, and make memories alongside your little maker, or join us for creative time of your own.
The tree in our logo reflects what we hope to build: strong roots in family and community, with branches reaching toward new ideas. Every person brings a different imagination. Every generation adds something special.
Whether you join us for a creative afternoon, celebrate a milestone, explore a new craft, or bring a project home, we hope you feel welcome to be yourself, and a little inspired to try something new.
