Parent & Child Studio Guidelines
Welcome to Rooted at Home Lil’ Makers! A little mess is part of the fun. These guidelines help everyone enjoy a welcoming space to create and play.
Stay Together
A parent or responsible adult must remain on the premises and supervise their child throughout the visit, including classes, parties, and playtime. Lil’ Makers is not a drop-off or childcare program. Our team is here to support activities, while caregivers remain responsible for their children’s safety, behavior, and bathroom needs.
Create Safely
Please walk inside the studio and use supplies as demonstrated. Some projects contain small pieces, delicate plaster figurines, or tools suited to older participants. Follow activity age guidance and ask for help when choosing a project. Sharp tools, including felting needles, may only be used during designated activities with staff guidance.
Play Kindly
Treat other makers, staff, supplies, and creations with care. Please use kind words, take turns, and ask before touching someone else’s project. Running, climbing on furniture, throwing materials, and rough play are not allowed. Caregivers should step in when their child needs help taking a break or making a safer choice.
Give Little Ones Room to Explore
Keep small craft pieces, paint, and tools out of the baby and toddler play area. Caregivers must stay close to little ones
Dress for a Little Mess
Wear comfortable clothes that can get paint, glue, or other craft materials on them. Aprons will be provided and may help, but some materials can stain clothing and belongings.
Keep Food and Art Separate
No food is permitted on Rooted Lil' Makers location.
Help Us Plan for Your Needs
Please tell us about allergies, material sensitivities, or accommodations that could help you participate comfortably. Ask about materials before beginning a project. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Visit When You’re Feeling Well
Please save your visit for another day if you or your child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or symptoms of a contagious illness. Let our team know promptly about spills, injuries, broken items, or anything that needs attention.
Respect Everyone’s Privacy
You’re welcome to photograph your own family and creations. Please ask permission before photographing or recording other guests, especially children. Staff will ask for a parent or guardian’s permission before using an identifiable image of their child for studio marketing.
Leave a Little Room for the Next Maker
Before leaving, return reusable supplies to their designated spots and help your child tidy their workspace. Tell our team about spills or damaged materials so we can handle them safely.
When Someone Needs a Break
If an activity or behavior becomes unsafe or repeatedly disrupts others, we may pause participation and ask the caregiver to help their child take a break. If the concern continues, we may end the visit to protect everyone’s experience.
Thank you for helping us make Lil’ Makers a place where every generation can feel welcome, get creative, and grow together.
